Terms of Service
Baton Returns LLC · Effective June 2026
1. Who We Are
Baton Returns LLC is a courier service based in New York City. We pick up pre-packaged return items from your door and drop them off at the appropriate return carrier (FedEx, UPS, USPS, or any other carrier specified by your retailer). We are a courier service only — we do not initiate returns, generate shipping labels, or interact with retailers on your behalf.
2. The Service
We pick up your pre-packaged return items, handle your return label or QR code, transport your items to the designated return carrier, and send you confirmation once items are dropped off. We do not initiate returns, package items, process refunds, or accept items over 50 lbs.
3. Eligibility
To use Baton Returns you must be 18 or older, have a valid return authorization (prepaid label or QR code), be located within our service area, and have your items packaged and ready before your pickup window.
4. Booking and Payment
Payment is charged at the time of booking. One-time pickups are $10. Monthly memberships are $20/month and auto-renew. All prices are in USD and subject to change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
One-time pickups may be cancelled free of charge up to 2 hours before your scheduled pickup window. Cancellations within 2 hours are non-refundable. Monthly memberships may be cancelled at any time with no partial refunds for unused periods. If we are unable to complete your pickup due to circumstances within our control, you will receive a full refund or reschedule.
6. Item Requirements
All items must be properly packaged before pickup. Items must fit in a standard box or bag and must not exceed 50 lbs. We do not accept hazardous materials, perishables, live animals, illegal items, or items without a valid prepaid return label or QR code. We reserve the right to refuse pickup of any item that does not meet these requirements.
7. Liability and Insurance
Baton Returns takes responsibility for your items from the moment we collect them from your door to the moment they are accepted at the return carrier. Our liability for any lost or damaged item is limited to $100 per pickup unless a higher value was declared in writing at booking. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged after acceptance by the return carrier, delays in retailer refund processing, improperly packaged items, or items already damaged at the time of pickup.
8. Our Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service at our discretion including situations where items exceed size or weight limits, items contain prohibited materials, the pickup location is outside our service area, there is no valid return label or QR code, or the customer is abusive toward our couriers.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
