What stores do you accept returns from?

Any retailer that provides a prepaid return label or QR code. Not sure? Just ask before booking.

What size items can you pick up?

Items must be carriable by one person and weigh under 50 lbs. Clothing, shoes, electronics, accessories — all fine. Large items like furniture or appliances coming soon via Baton XL.

Do I need to package or box my items before you arrive?

No — just leave your item at the door as-is. We bring everything needed: boxes, poly mailers, tape, and packaging materials. If your item is already packaged that's fine too — just let us know when you book.

How do I share my return QR code with you?

When you book, select "QR code" as your label type and upload a screenshot directly in the booking form. We'll pull it up on our phone at the carrier counter — no printing needed on your end.

What if I'm not home during the pickup window?

No problem — just leave your items with your doorman or in a designated spot and let us know in your booking notes. We coordinate with building staff regularly and are used to contactless pickups.

Can I cancel or reschedule a pickup?

Yes — cancel or reschedule for free up to 2 hours before your pickup window. Email us at pickups@batonreturns.com or call us directly and we'll sort it out immediately.

Are my items insured during pickup?

Yes. All pickups are covered from the moment we collect your items to drop-off at the return carrier. After that, the carrier's own policies apply.

How long does it take to get my refund?

Refund timelines depend on the retailer — typically 3-10 business days after the return is received. We send you confirmation as soon as we drop your items at the return carrier.

What areas do you serve?

We currently serve all Manhattan neighborhoods including the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Midtown, Chelsea, West Village, SoHo, Tribeca, and more. Brooklyn and Queens are coming soon — join our waitlist to be notified.

Can you pick up large items like furniture or appliances?

Not yet — but Baton XL is coming. We're building out a two-person, large vehicle service specifically for furniture, appliances, and oversized returns. If you have a large item return coming up, join our waitlist and we'll notify you the moment it launches.
